Corset Revival Exhibition Launch Party
The Corset Revival Project began with 150 donated corsets, generously provided to be reimagined by artists, designers, makers, students, and creative practitioners. From these garments, 76 artists from around the world have created unique artworks exploring themes of heritage, identity, sustainability, memory, transformation, and craftsmanship.
This exhibition celebrates the remarkable journey of these corsets from unwanted garments to inspiring works of art, demonstrating the creative potential of reuse and the power of global collaboration.
Following its successful showcase at the International Circular Fashion Week Conference 2026 at Leeds Beckett University, the project has continued to gain international recognition. Most recently, Circular Fashion Incubator CIC represented the project at the New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels, where visitors engaged with the Corset Revival story and participated in creative workshops exploring textile reuse, embellishment, and circular design.
During the evening, you will have the opportunity to:
• View highlights from the Corset Revival Project Exhibition
• Meet participating artists and project partners
• Discover the stories behind the artworks
• Learn about the project's journey from Leeds to Brussels
• Network with creatives, educators, students, and sustainability advocates
• Learn more about circular fashion and creative reuse
• Celebrate the achievements of an international community united through art and sustainability
As part of the exhibition, visitors will also have the opportunity to support St Gemma's Hospice through a special charity auction and fundraising initiative featuring selected corset artworks.
